Studio visitor
Buzz crept into the studio this morning, he doesn't usually stay too long, I think it's too untidy for him.
Sculpture repair
This is a section of a previous sculpture that collapsed as I was working on it because of the weight and weakness of the structure. I’m now working on a new modular version that is much more interesting. It's good to learn from past mistakes. With a few repairs this piece will be ready for an application of concrete.
Colour test
The acrylic paint works much better after a base coat of Yacht varnish to seal the concrete.
Monoprinting
Looking through some old work, this is from a YouTube demo.
Varnish
Application of Yacht varnish to provide a better surface for the acrylic paint.
Looking through some old work
Experimenting with cast and carved concrete, cast sections from sand moulds then carved with a sharp knife when the concrete was at the green stage.
Experimenting with colour
Acrylic paint application, thin layers various colours.
Buzz found a sunspot
Early this morning Buzz found a spot to enjoy some sun, view from the studio.
Old work
Oil on canvas (has similarities to the sculpture I’m currently working on)
Happy Buzz
