Work in progress
It's very cold outside today so I’ve been working on a new project in the studio. Probably due for a clean up, space is limited.

Couple of edited photographs taken on the beach yesterday.
Happy New Year, sending best wishes for 2025. In the studio today exploring ideas for a new project.
Sending best wishes for the new year.
I've just finished editing a new demo video. Acrylic paint on a wooden panel “24 × 18” I've had to cut this into 2 parts as the video was a bit too long. I will post both parts on YouTube tomorrow and they will also be posted on the new video page on the website. This first part is a 10 minute time lapse sequence and the second part will be shown in real time.

Recieved a delivery of some new paint. Daler Rowney System 3 500ml Acrylic. I’ve always enjoyed using this paint and I’m hoping to start working on a larger scale so I've bought bigger. A little thinner but it’s available in heavy body and you could use it with a texture paste.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas day. Taking time away from the studio but this is a canvas panel that I've been working on. I’m going to be filming another demo before the end of the year.
On this Christmas eve I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and hope you enjoy spending time with your family and friends. Buzz hasn't appeared on this blog for a while so here he is in his smart new coat.
Application of varnish. Finished filming a short demo video. Available to watch tomorrow.
Acrylic paint on stretched canvas 16” × 12”
Application of matte varnish to the finished canvas panels. 3 coats of acrylic varnish allowing up to 3 hours to dry between coats.
I've been working on another acrylic on canvas this afternoon. This one was painted over an old work and I was experimenting with adding texture to the surface using modelling paste and a stencil.
Recently completed 12” × 16” stretched canvas. These have yet to be varnished but i’m pleased with the colours and the composition. Hopefully I’m beginning to work on some larger canvases.

Casting the top section of this piece. I like the idea of including water, lighting effects into the gallery with the eggshell below. The finished artwork will be located outside hopefully in the next few days so I can see how it reacts to a harsh British winter. Eventually I will make a couple more base sections to raise it higher off the ground.
Working on some larger canvas pieces using the smaller sketches to develop the composition and experiments with colour.
I’ve been casting another section for the recent work, had a bit of extra concrete leftover so I've been playing around with a few pieces left in the studio.
