In the studio

Working with spray paint, POSCA pens and stencils.
I've been experimenting with some new techniques and thought I’d share a few work in progress photos.
I have failed in my attempt to keep this blog page updated and I have really neglected posting new content and ideas. I have been working in the new studio and sorting a few minor problems as well as working on new artworks.
If you follow my YouTube channel you will know from my last post that I have decided to take a break, I no longer enjoy the process of uploading a video to the channel only to see it fail due to the constant changes with the way YouTube seem to promote videos from the smaller channels. I don’t like the constant flow of the adverts and it is becoming clear to me that the channel has no longer got the support (of YouTube) that it once had. In order for the channel to get back to the same stage of growth that it was achieving 3 years ago I would have to make 40 new videos each week!
I really enjoy working on the videos and it is always good to receive feedback and offer support I now hope to continue this with my new video page. I am now able to upload my videos to the website without first having to post them on YouTube. This is going to be much better for me and hopefully you (the viewers) I will make exclusive content and I will be removing many of my videos from the YouTube channel to post them on my new page. I hope that you will continue to enjoy the videos and hope they help to provide some inspiration. Take a look at the new page, although at the moment it is a work in progress and only has a couple of videos.
I’m adding some original artwork to the website including some monoprints that will be included with an A4 copy of the monoprinting booklet.
All overseas orders now need to have a contact phone number on the customs documents when exporting from the UK to Europe or Worldwide. Please include this at checkout or via the contact page. I cannot send orders without this and you will be refunded for your purchase. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks.
I will be updating the website shop and including more original artwork for sale, including many of the pieces from the YouTube demo videos. In order to make this process easier for myself and hopefully enable customers to add the correct postage to orders I have simplified this to 3 main categories Small, Medium and large for UK, Europe and Worldwide shipping. If you cannot find your country in the list of options please contact me and I will be able to include this. Thank you.
Latest work from the studio. Acrylic and charcoal on 200gsm paper. I will be filming a demo video of one of these large triptych compositions.
I’m offering all artwork created during my new YouTube demo videos for sale, an opportunity for you to own the piece that you can watch being created. I’ve been working on the format of my demos and I’ve been trying to make them easier for me to edit, this will mean that I can post regularly and hopefully inspire others to try the techniques for themselves.
Unfortunately the Royal Mail has been victim of a cyber attack on computer systems used for dispatching all overseas postal deliveries from the UK. I have been trying to find a suitable alternative but this has meant additional expenses to all orders sent abroad. I have no option but to increase the costs of delivery, something that I really don't want to do. I hope the problem will be resolved but it looks like this won't be for a while. I will always try to send overseas orders with a suitable and secure postal service, priority is always safe delivery for affordable costs.

Work in progress, layers of acrylic paint.
Experiment with 3d pen

Corner of the studio, work features in some of the demo videos.
I’ve spent a lot of time converting an old unused garage into a studio space. Although quite small it will mean that I can begin to work on lots of new artwork, I hope to work on sculpture as well as large scale paintings. Just a few details to finish the space but the roof is no longer leaking and the new door and windows allow for excellent light.
I’ve been working on these small panels. Building up layers of texture with a filler paste and a 3d pen. I will add more layers before applying paint.
I’ve just found all these small artworks and have been inspired to experiment with the techniques, creating textured surfaces and painting with acrylic and drawn over with charcoal.
I’m experimenting with a 3d pen and cement to create a textured paint surface on these small panels.
Thanks for all the comments about yesterdays final YouTube demo. I promise I will reply to all your comments as soon as I can. I'm pleased to know that the demos have provided so much inspiration for others and to know that artists have had work exhibited and sold following some of the techniques in the videos. I will try to update the blog page on my website daily with details of new work. I really want to work on a new book of art projects and will start work on this in the next few weeks. The YouTube channel will not be deleted so all the videos will still be available. The videos can also be watched on my website. I will return with fresh Ideas and hopefully more inspiration when the time is right. Thanks for watching.
Finished filming the last YouTube demo.
